Announcing DropBox and Box Integrations - True Cloud Data Capture is Here.
August 15, 2012 by Andrea Spillmann
True cloud-based data capture is here. File sharing services like DropBox or Box are flexible and easy to use. Files are synchronized automatically and across large organizations. We wanted to remove major pain-points for our customers: the need to wait for uploads or coordinate between multiple locations. Now you can upload from a cloud-shared folder directly to Captricity. Today we're pleased to announce integrations with both Box and DropBox.
How does it work?
Start a job as you would normally do.
When it comes time to upload documents, click on the DropBox or Box icon. If it's your first time, you'll be prompted by Box or DropBox for your account information. Once authenticated, Captricity builds a secure channel to your files, and you can simply select the folder you'd like to digitize. Captricity will then automatically pull these files directly from Box and Dropbox servers, rather than from your computer. If you have questions or would like more information on how to use it, please check out these detailed instructions.
What are the benefits?
Uploading your files directly from DropBox or Box, rather than your computer, means that your files upload much more quickly. This can be particularly helpful if you have a large numbers of files or are working in a low-connectivity or widely distributed setting. Some of our users have already elected to transfer their files to us via DropBox for data capture. This integration will speed up and streamline that process.
