December’s New Feature Roundup

December 31, 2014 by Lani Rosenthal

We’ve been staying busy at Captricity lately and have great things to show for it. Not only do we have a snazzy new look and some wonderful additions to our team, but we’re also continuing to democratize data by helping the Federal Election Commission make campaign funding disclosures publicly available, and we’ve added two great new tools to Captricity to make it even easier for you to use.

Assisted Template Creation

Templates are one of the keys to Captricity’s digitization, and we want the process of creating one to be as easy as possible. Enter (drumroll, please)... Assisted Template Creation! Now when you create or edit a template, Captricity can look at it and intuit where fields might be placed. As you define fields, Captricity will use that intuition to make suggestions on location and name, helping to speed you along. Tables just got much simpler as well -- draw only the outline, and Captricity will automatically add the columns and rows based on the lines on the page.

Read more about how to define fields or tables with Assisted Template Creation, and let us know what you think at support@captricity.com. We love this new tool and hope you will too!

The Data Hub

You’ve probably had a chance to acquaint yourself with the Data Hub already, but we're delighted to officially present this comprehensive way for Captricity users to review their data. Data Hub allows you to view the results from all of the forms you've digitized with a particular template, even across multiple jobs. You can filter those results by a date range, view only the forms that had blanks or impossibles, or export all of this data in one CSV file. Learn more by checking out our support article & video, and let us know what you think!

We’re thrilled to be entering this new year with you -- here’s to a happy and healthy 2015!
